It is generally believed, by the population and particularly by our leaders that to run a country on renewable energy alone is impossible. The general beliefs that are held are:
– It can’t provide baseload power
– It is too unreliable
– It is too expensive
– The sources of power a too far from cities
However it is becoming increasingly clear that the only obstacles to powering Australia from renewable energy are political, and not economic or technical. This talk describes a plan for Australia to move to renewable energy in a short time and at a reasonable price.
