    Northern Division: AEW Wrap Up

    The launch of Engineering Week was hosted by Her Honour, Sally Thomas the Administrator of the Northern Territory at Government House on Tuesday 7 August 2012. Over 50 members joined in the Division’s official launch of the week’s activities which included a Women in Engineering lunch and a cocktail function at the Defence of Darwin Experience at East Point Museum.

    The engineering week that was

    Australian Engineering Week might be over for another year, but for two young boys in South Australia, it won't be quickly forgotten.

    Writing on our Facebook page, Melinda Lutton said: 'The ScienceAlive show was brilliant. Took the kids and spent two whole days there. Very inspiring for our two budding engineers...'

    Similar sentiments were expressed in Canberra where over 400 students took part in the annual Engineering Games. Much of the feedback concentrated on what a great opportunity it was for children, and that their 'excitement and enthusiasm' were palpable. One child said what they had loved 'was the chance to see what others have done and learn from them'.
