About Airservices Australia
Airservices Australia are a government-owned corporation providing safe and environmentally sound air traffic control management and related airside services to the aviation industry.
Airservices Australia has a fixed asset base of $609 million across 600 sites and around 3000 employees who work from two major centres in Melbourne and Brisbane and 26 towers at international and regional airports. Airservices Australia staff also provide aviation rescue and fire fighting services at 20 of the nation's busiest airports. In a region covering 11 per cent of the world's surface Airservices Australia manage air traffic operations for around 63 million passengers on more than 4 million domestic and international flights every year.
The aviation industry also relies on Airservices Australia for aeronautical data telecommunications and navigation services. Airservices Australia have been twice voted as the world's best provider of air traffic control.
