David was drawn to engineering because of its capacity to solve problems.
“I am passionate about understanding the cause of tricky problems with complex systems. Designing something elegant that others claim was ‘impossible’ to resolve is a great feeling,” says David.
Now, David would like to inspire more young engineers to apply their unique ability to optimise management and other abstract organisational systems earlier in their career.
By getting in early, he says, engineers can help to ensure more robust, resilient and agile organisations with lower environmental footprints than those run using ‘conventional’ management skills.
