Niki currently works as a Project Manager for Tonkin Consulting and specialises in the fields of wastewater and water. Her main clients include state and local governments. In addition to project management, Niki shares a couple of roles within the Water Resources Section, including business development and personnel management.
Recently appointed as Chair of Women In Engineer for the South Australian Division of Engineers Australia, Niki is dedicated to strengthening and diversifying the engineering profession and supporting women in their career development.
Mathematics and problem solving came naturally to Niki during school, so it was logical that she gravitated towards the engineering profession.
The best parts about being an engineer are meeting new people, providing sound engineering solutions for clients that are both economically and environmentally sustainable, and learning something new every day.
Niki is also an active committee member of the South Australian WaterAid Fundraising Committee, which in the last year raised over $300,000 towards providing sanitation to East Timor and neighbouring countries.
